Pytt i panna

This is pytt i panna.

Pytt i panna ("stuff in a pan") is a classic Swedish dish, traditionally made from leftover whatever-meat-there-was... and potatoes. The classic mix includes diced potatoes, diced ham, diced onions, salt and pepper, and an egg on the top (typically sunny-side up). Pickled beets and either HP sauce or ketchup should be served on the side. Swedes still enjoy pytt i panna today, often purchasing the ingredients just for use in the dish.

That is what John's Grandma Clayton used to make for us frequently --- just looking at it brings up the wonderful fixing-it aroma!
