Sweet pumpkin carving

Alright, all of you pumpkin-carving fence-sitters out there, this is your inspiration.

My friend Kyle and his roommate Fred (both Carnegie Mellon grad students) spent 10 hours last Saturday creating this masterpiece; when I got the photos in my inbox, I simply had to ask permission to blog them. Besides their pumpkin-carving skills, I'm jealous of their ability to get the lighting just right... these sorts of photos always seem to fail when I try. (But that doesn't mean I'm not going to try again.)

So go out, get some pumpkins, and create!
