Speaking of Sweden...

I'm going to be the new moderator of the Seattle Swedish conversation group (think Swedish Table, for those of you from Pomona). The old moderator moved away, and the Sunday evening meetings kind of died out, so it's in the process of being rejuvinated.

So, for anyone in Seattle... come! It is open to one and all, and doesn't require Swedish fluency. :) If you are interested in the language and would like to learn, you are welcome. The idea is for people to get together, have a good time, and chat (to the best of their ability) in Swedish.

It's going to be at the Continental restaurant in the U-District (as are the other Conversation Groups), but it will no longer be on Sunday evenings. We're moving to a new day, which looks like it will be either Monday 4:30-6:30, Wednesday 4-6, or Friday 5-7. It's a stay-for-as-much-or-as-little-of-the-time-as-you-like deal. There is inexpensive food/drink available, but you don't need to buy anything if you don't want to.

I'll post again when times are set, but if you have a time you would prefer, take a look at the poll on the Seattle Swedish Yahoo Message Board, and tell me your preference. Or just post a reply here if you're feeling lazy. ;)
