Yes, isn't my English impeccable?

One of my favorite things about living here is going out and getting compliments on my "really great English". :o) Some people even are surprised by my level of compentency and tell me how neat it is that I'm fluent in it.

Yes, yes... I know I'm cool... (They generally become less-impressed when I tell them I grew up in the US. -sigh-)

lol of course, the reverse can happen too, like when I went home for break and told the US customs lady (in ENGLISH, mind you) that I was in Sweden to practice my Swedish, and she replied with: "Well, you certainly picked up the accent... [awkward pause, as I didn't know quite how to respond]... oh, or maybe you've always spoken like that?"

Right.
