"Hold 'er, Newt..."
Or so they tell me the quote goes. (with an optional ending of "...she's a-headed for the rhubarb.") This is an interesting bit of English I had not previously heard. I came across it today while riding in the car with John's mom. It's unusual, so I am posting it here. Ten points to anyone who manages to incorporate it into their daily speech.

After some extensive research, I have come to the sad realization that this phrase was made up by mom. My conception of reality is shattered -- shattered! I tried to teach it to Kip but he kept getting the inflection all wrong. He said it like "HOLD 'er, newt" as opposed to the proper inflection of "HOLD 'er, NEWT". He also thought it was an explative.
